DMS Technology (www.dmstechnology.com) is a growth oriented IT Outsourcing Solutions and Services provider located in NYC, with a focus in financial services clients. Founded by a seasoned leader with over 20 years industry experience, DMS has grown even in these tough economic times by focusing on its services core value to its customers. With a growing roster of clients and demand for its services, the Company is poised to build on the momentum of the last eighteen months by adding a Vice President of Professional Services to its team.
We are seeking a technical leader for our Professional Services business – interfacing with clients and other technical team members to create and implement outsourced, managed technical solutions. The successful candidate will work hand in hand with the CEO to build Customer Relationships and Solutions and will be responsible for leading our internal and external-facing IT systems groups. We are looking for an individual who is a problem-solver and has a proven track record of managing technical teams to successfully address challenging user computing issues, and is accustomed to maintaining staffing levels, training and certification requirements, problem management and resolution processes and customer satisfaction via strict SLA management.

Primary Requirement:
Must have 7-15 years of broad IT managed services experience, preferably in a consultative, client-responsive environment, most recently at VP or Director level.
Additional Requirements:
• Assess customer’s current systems environments, architecture and implementation for efficiency and effectiveness
• Architect and Implement IT systems designs (servers to desktop)
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and monitor core services such as Active Directory, DNS, WINS, DHCP, group policy, Exchange 2000 / 2003, SQL Server, IIS, Windows 2000/2003
• Hire, manage and develop a growing team of technical personnel versed in above.
• Create systems for and implement documentation of all actions, practices, procedures and processes.
• Work responsibly with initiative and independent judgment.
Qualifications
• Knowledge of Windows architecture design principles, practices, implementation, and maintenance.
• Experience and understanding of TCP/IP protocols, DNS, WINS, and DHCP.
• Knowledge of the Remote Installation Services and Group Policy.
• Basic knowledge of Clustering Services / High availability systems.
• Experience and knowledge of Exchange 2000/2003 +
• Windows 2000/2003 server, 2000/2003 Active Directory
• Experience with Backup software such as BackupExec, Netbackup, BrightStor ARCserve
• Experience with Antivirus programs, Spam Filters, and Web monitoring.
• Experience with creating and deploying standard desktop images.
• Knowledge of Security including Firewalls
• Knowledge of and experience with different server operating platforms.
• MCSE certification a plus
• Citrix range of products and accreditation a plus
• Hands on technical skills in LAN/WAN, Security and Virtualization technologies is preferred
• Must have excellent verbal and written skills
